On Sunday, April 10, the Onondaga Cycling Club will have its first annual
"Bike Fair." It combines a social event with an informal dinner,
information sessions on many aspects of cycling by various experts
(including most local shops), and a watch party for the Paris-Roubaix bike
race. The event is geared towards cyclists of all levels and both OCC
members and the public are welcome. Here's the details:

Location: Bella Domini, 5988 East Taft Road (about 1 mile east of
          I-81), www.belladomani.net

The Meal: pizza, wings, salad, soda, and coffee for $10

Times: 5:30 doors open and dinner starts
6:00 the "stations" with experts open
7:00 we turn on Paris Roubaix
(the stations close when questions have been answered)

Stations will be located around the room. Each will have one or more
experts available to talk to anyone who is interested in that topic.
They'll run concurrently -- all you need to do is wander to the ones
that interest you when you wish. Here's what we have set up:

Maintenance (provided by local bike shops):
    - how to fix a flat
    - how to adjust a derailleur
    - carbon care and torque wrench usage
    - what to check before each ride
    - bike fit

  Riding
    - time trialing
    - mountain biking
    - training & biomechanical analysis
      (bring your bike!)
    - racing (men and women)
    - cyclocross racing
    - riding cross the U.S.
    - overseas touring

  OCC Events
    - bike advocacy
    - intro to OCC
    - annual vacation ride
    - Tuesday Night Training Series
    - Tuesday Night Time Trials

Please contact Bill Goffe, bill.goffe at oswego.edu, 657-5014, if you
plan on attending. I do need to know by the evening of Monday, 4/4.
